The Queen of Etsyland

We have just got back from a long weekend away visiting my sister and brother in law in Mudgee. Hannah and Peter have recently renovated their gorgeous home and I can show photos on here once the full story is published in a mag. For now, I can share some of Hannah's collections with you, and best of all - where she sources some of them from. Believe it or not, her main shopping destination lately has been Etsy. If, like me - you tend to come across more junk than treasure on this site, you may be interested to bookmark a list of Hannah's favourite Etsy stores. The girl knows her way around a good shop, trust me.

Pictured below are some of the things that caught my eye over the weekend:

A little science-inspired nook.

Hannah has scored some lovely vintage portraits - an oil seen here with an impressive collection of champagne wire chairs (lots of toasting to the renovated house, perhaps).

Timeless and beautiful silhouettes - original portraiture before cameras.

A very sweet 'paint by numbers' horse.

Vintage picnic set for cold drinks (love the colour combination).

Even the post box is from Etsy.

Happy Etsy shopping! Briar x

  4. I recently found your blog and I very much enjoy it! The post box, in particular, caught my eye because these are still in use in France as mailboxes for La Poste. I happened to shoot one in Grasse last August. Even the text at the bottom telling not to put magazines and prints in the box is there. Lovely, but rather heavy I would assume. Perhaps these are being replaced by more modern ones so this one ended up on Etsy. Hunting down great finds may take a lot of time and effort but it can be oh so rewarding!

  5. Etsy is the best! I've bought two things in the last week. No one has bought anything from me though. I don't think the world gets my 'sea doll'. I love Etsy though and the conference I went to last year on the top floor of the MCA in Sydney sealed my love affair. Pru P.S. Your sister has a great eye!
